Darian is a New Orleans native and began her studio training at 4 years old. She has trained extensively in many genres of dance, but has a particular passion for the commercial styles of Jazz-Funk, Hip Hop and Contemporary. She grew up on the convention and competition circuit and continues to train across the country as a Professional Level Protégé with “The Pulse On Tour” and as a Company Assistant with “The Streetz”. She has performed professionally for 4 years with the contemporary/fusion dance company SYNERGY, and has also performed on stage with Janet Jackson during her “Unbreakable” Tour at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Recently, Darian was a featured choreographer at “RAW:Natural Born Artists” and has also enjoyed working on numerous TV shows including “NCIS New Orleans” as a dancer and the upcoming Disney/Freeform series “Cloak and Dagger”. She will also be featured in the upcoming dance photography book “Dance Across the USA” as one of the dancers representing Louisiana. This year, Darian was one of the 100 recipients nationwide of the Taco Bell Foundation’s “Live Mas” Scholarship, awarded to the “next generation of innovators, creators, and dreamers who are pursuing their passion while getting a college degree”. She is using this scholarship to pursue her other passion, teaching, as an Elementary Education Major at the University of New Orleans.
